William T. Bandettini represents individuals and families throughout San Francisco, the Bay Area, and Northern California who have suffered serious personal injuries or have been wrongfully denied insurance benefits. At DL Law Group, William is spearheading the firm’s expansion into personal injury and wrongful death litigation while also working closely with the firm’s attorneys on insurance bad faith matters involving wrongful insurance denials, mental health coverage disputes, and long-term disability claims.
William’s personal injury practice focuses on serious and catastrophic injury cases arising from motor vehicle accidents, dangerous property conditions, dog bites and animal attacks, and other acts of negligence. He represents clients injured in car, motorcycle, bicycle, pedestrian, and truck accidents, as well as individuals harmed by unsafe premises, negligent security, and other dangerous conditions. His practice also includes uninsured and underinsured motorist claims, which frequently arise when injured individuals are left without adequate insurance coverage following a serious accident.
Many of William’s cases involve catastrophic injuries such as traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord trauma, severe orthopedic injuries, burn injuries, and permanent nerve damage. He prepares each case with trial in mind, working closely with medical experts and other specialists to fully document the long-term medical, financial, and personal consequences of serious injury. His approach focuses not only on proving liability, but also on ensuring that clients receive compensation that accounts for future medical care, lost earning capacity, and permanent disability.
In addition to personal injury litigation, William assists clients in insurance bad faith matters involving wrongful denials of health insurance benefits, mental health treatment coverage, disability benefits, and other policy-based claims. He works to hold insurance companies accountable when they fail to honor their contractual and statutory obligations, particularly in cases involving long-term disability benefits and improperly denied medical or behavioral health treatment.
William earned a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice, Emphasis in Legal Studies, and a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish from California State University, Chico. He received his Juris Doctor from the University of California College of the Law, San Francisco (formerly UC Hastings College of the Law). While in law school, he co-founded the American Association for Justice student chapter, competed on the Alternative Dispute Resolution team, and volunteered with Homeless Legal Services.
Outside of his practice, William serves as President-Elect of the Bay Area Lawyers for Individual Freedom (BALIF) Foundation. He is a member of the San Francisco Trial Lawyers Association (SFTLA), Consumer Attorneys of California (CAOC), and the American Association for Justice (AAJ). Fluent in Spanish, he represents a diverse client base and is committed to providing clear, strategic advocacy for individuals and families facing some of the most difficult moments of their lives.
